Opening our community pub.

There are many opportunities but a lot of hard work ahead:

  • For the first three months we will have the same opening hours (possibly adding Mondays – drinks only)

  • There will be a limited menu refresh

  • We plan to retain the three existing members of staff, supported by volunteers

  • During the first three months we will work with the community to agree what we all want from the pub

  • We know we can do something really special for our community

Exciting volunteering opportunities

It’s not just about money – volunteering will make the greatest difference.

- Maintenance volunteers - as required

- volunteers - as required

  • Core responsibilities available for each volunteer role

  • Training, including detailed health and safety training will be given

  • We hope to introduce a reward system related to hours/shifts worked after three months

How to get involved

  • A Community Benefit Society involves everyone

  • There will be a volunteers coordinator for support

  • A ‘Code of Conduct’ for volunteers and staff

  • We will try and match skills and time availability for each volunteer
